About The Northeast Louisiana Children's Museum
The NELA Children's Museum began with a dream of 2 regular ole moms in 1996. Over 35,000 visitors come each year to visit. They have family events, concerts, activites and workshops throughout the year. It's a place where children of all ages come to explore and learn while having FUN!
The NELA Children’s Museum fills many needs. They provide programs & projects for all ages & economic levels. These programs/projects are geared towards serving the low to moderately low income children. They encourage the “fun of learning” in an already tough environment. Over 80% of the Museum’s visitors are from impoverished homes. These programs are “in house” and “outreach” projects that are developed to coordinate with the curriculum of the local and surrounding school systems. Funding our project will provide opportunities for these children and their families to come have some fun and learn together too! Free Admission Days will open the doors for families to enjoy a day together. Peanut Butter & Jam Concerts will be scheduled during the year, bringing in artists & entertainers from all over the country. With the sluggish economy, we need funding!
Family Promise of Ouachita
Family Promise of Ouachita is a 30 to 90 day transitional shelter providing families with children a safe place to call home while they are re-establishing employment and permanent housing. They offer case management to assist with social services, employment, and housing assistance.
Family Promise of Ouachita would like to purchase a new van to transport families in our program to our host congregations and appointments that they have scheduled.
They also want to complete the renovations on their new day center.
They would like to offer classes in parenting, finance management, as well as mentoring programs for families in their program.

The Forge Family is very excited about its new addition – Public House, a gastro pub in Old Town Temecula. It's been a long time coming, and we're quite proud of our new "baby." Not many restaurants have the fortune to have tasted their food on hundreds to thousands of guests before putting their menu together, so you can expect the best executed meal possible when you visit us. Fitting with its title, Public House is an historic home converted into a restaurant, combining eclectic touches from old and new design. Later this year, the Public House will offer garden seating with an outdoor woodfire grill.
Because we use the best in local, seasonal, and sustainable products, our menu and specials change regularly. So be sure to ask your server about what's new. And, to help our guests navigate through our huge selection of wine, we have done some pairing to help if you're not sure what wine you'd like. Please refer to the wine & beer menus for more description of all our selections.
